JOB SUMMARY
You will be the point person and on the ground representative for Fin’s Commercials interests in the U.S. market and will be an essential part of Fin’s global operations
Your primary role will be to attract new business and build long standing relationships with Agencies, Production Companies, Directors and Clients. You will also be asked to do a variety of other tasks consistent with the role of a Senior VFX Producer so you should expect to wear many hats.
Fin’s main offices are located in Australia which means you will be working closely with the production teams and artists there on a regular basis. This setup, coupled with working with the clients across the U.S. means you may need to be somewhat flexible with your hours, but should generally expect a standard 9am PT - 6pm PT workday.
It’s also important to note that the flexibility goes both ways and we are happy to offer the right candidate the ability to work remotely and work around other personal weekly commitments.
YOU WILL BE…
THE FACE OF FIN IN THE U.S.
WORKING ON NEW BUSINESS
A BIDDING PRODUCER
A VFX PRODUCER
Even though the majority of our U.S. jobs are run out of our Sydney office and are supported by the local production team there, you will often need to handle some of the more day-to-day responsibilities of a VFX producer. These could include:
YOU SHOULD BE…
Client Focused
An exceptional degree of client service is at the top of our list of responsibilities. We have a strong track record of being one of the best in the industry in this respect.
A Team Player
While we always look after our clients, we also make sure our co-workers are equally respected. Fin has a remarkably high staff retention rate and a big part of that has to do with the respect we show our colleagues.
Positively Minded
Our industry is stressful! We will rely on you to maintain a positive outlook to ensure our clients and internal teams remain relaxed and productive.
A Self Sufficient Problem Solver
You will face new and unexpected challenges every day, and may not always have others to fall back on. You should be able to handle complex situations by thinking on your feet.
Responsive
We place a huge importance on making sure clients are responded to in a timely manner. We want to make sure that time zones are never a concern.
Flexible on Time
You will be juggling East Coast, West Coast and Sydney time zones. So while we do our best to maintain regular local business hours, we would expect you to be available during odd hours.
Hard Working
We are strong believers in a healthy work / life balance. But a strong work ethic is important!
Technically Minded
You will be supported by a strong team of VFX Supervisors and I.T. personnel, but a solid understanding of technology used in our industry will be very useful for the position (see “Problem Solver” above!).
WE WANT YOU TO BE…
CONTRACT TERMS
Your working hours will range from 8 to 40 per week on a pro-rata basis at an agreed-upon hourly rate. Hours will be coordinated and approved by the TVC Executive Producer, based on your weekly activities and tasks. This role has the potential to evolve into a full-time position, depending on the department’s success and your growth within the team
